Program Description
The Graduate Student Research Program provides
fellowships of $30,000 per student per year.
The fellowship is renewable based on satisfactory
progress and available funding, but is not to
exceed three years. NASA’s scientists and engineers
competitively evaluate students applying for
these fellowships on their academic qualifications,
proposed research, and plan of study. Fellows
must spend some period of time in residence
at the Center which selected them. This program
supports approximately 300 graduate students
each year.
Program Goal
The goals of this program are to broaden the
base of students pursuing advanced degrees in
science and engineering and to cultivate additional
research ties to the academic community.
