Tribal College & University Projects (TCU)
American Indian Higher Education Consortium (AIHEC)
Summer Research Experience (SRE)

Program Description
The AIHEC SRE is a summer research program that provides students enrolled in a tribal college or university with opportunities to participate in on-going Kennedy Space Center (KSC) research projects, or tailored projects relevant to their reservation, and gain hands-on experience in their field of study. The SRE is a student learning work experience in which the participant team is paired with a mentor from KSC's science or engineering laboratories through a match between the lab's requirements and the student's background, academic level and interest. The SRE covers the stipend, round trip transportation from home or university to Kennedy Space Center, and housing.
