NASA KSC's Exploration Station

NASA Exploration Station provides an opportunity to encounter hands-on learning activities in math, science, and technology through seeing, touching, and doing!

Emily demonstrating the gyroscope wheel.Students participate in a variety of hands-on activities utilizing aerospace hardware that compliments the teaching of rocketry, spaceflight, space science, and space exploration. Programs are geared specifically for group grade level. These programs meet National Curriculum Standards associated with math, science, and technology as well as correlate to the Sunshine State Standards.

Requirements

  • Minimum 15 students
  • Maximum 45 students
  • Ratio: 1 adult per 10 students

Hours of Operation

Monday - Friday, 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. and on the first and third Saturday of each month (*exceptions noted below).

NASA Exploration Station is closed Sunday, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, all federal holidays, during NASA Educator Workshops, launch operations and other conflicting NASA obligations.

One hour (can be tailored to meet the school schedule)
